Some of my favorite sources for teaching inspiration are the Moving Writer’s Blog and its contributors. This summer, they introduced the 100 Days of Summer Writing notebook project. This is a challenge and resource for both teachers and students to “walk the walk” of a writerly life and to help students continue to build those writing muscles. I’ve encouraged my students to try this out over the summer and to share their writing with me. Now it is time for me to do the same.
Entry 1 is in response to this slide:
Here’s my first notebook entry for this project!
Side note. I am going to take my 6-year-old and 3-year-old out on their first day of summer to the store to pick out their very own writing notebooks, so we can write together each day!
I’m off to read Dog Man with H!
